This listing is for an 1878-dated Morgan Silver Dollar in Cull condition. Coins may show heavy circulation wear, scratches, cleaning, discoloration, rim damage, or other imperfections; the exact appearance will vary.

Designed by George T. Morgan and first struck in 1878, the Morgan Dollar features Liberty on the obverse and an eagle with outstretched wings on the reverse. Each coin was originally struck in .900 silver with a nominal silver weight of 0.7734 troy oz.

The 1878 Morgan Dollar represents the era of America’s westward expansion and industrial development and remains one of the nation’s most widely collected historic silver coins.

Cull is a lower-grade collecting category, not Brilliant Uncirculated or a certified grade. The silver weight stated in the specifications is the original nominal content; heavily worn examples may weigh less. The mint mark and variety are not selected by the buyer unless separately specified. These historic .900 silver dollars are offered for collecting, rather than as IRA-eligible bullion.
